BKC-IH Moscow's Conference >>
BKC-IH Moscow hosted its first Teacher Training Conference recently, with the theme of ‘Experience. Excellence. Expertise.’
The one-day event was attended by 150 participants, with a series of 28 workshops in seven different tracks, hosted by 25 speakers.
Themes throughout the day included: teaching VYL/YLs, teaching for exams, teachers’ professional development, general methodology, and much more.
IHWO welcomes IH Medellin >>
We are thrilled to welcome a new affiliate to the International House network – IH Medellín!
The school in Colombia is a joint venture between two of IH’s members, Ariel López, and Jonathan Dykes. The school will offer a range of English language courses for locals, as well as CELTA courses for English language teachers. It will also operate as an exam centre for IELTS, Cambridge Assessment, and TEA (Test of English for Aviation).
ST Alphe Asia and Taiwan
Simon Thorley, from IH InTuition, attended ST Alphe Asia and Taiwan on behalf of IHWO, chatting to many agents about studying abroad with IH!
IH Barcelona Conference >>
IH Barcelona hosted its annual ELT conference in February, offering practical ideas as well as reflection on theory to teachers, trainers and ELT managers. In total, around 500 people attended, coming from 30 different countries. Session topics included YLs and adults, as well as special interest groups for technology, management and business.
Academia Britanica wins FECEI award
Congratulations to Academia Britanica-IH Cordoba, which won an award from FECEI in Madrid for Inventores del Sector / ‘Creators of the Business Sector’!
The award recognises that that IH Cordoba was the first IH school in the world and were founding members of both ACEIA (Asociación de Centros de Enseñanza de Idiomas de Andalucia and FECEI (Federación Española de Centros de Enseñanza de Idiomas).
