IH London

IH London is an established and well-known language school, with over sixty years of experience providing language courses and teacher training.

Each year we welcome over 8,000 students from more than 155 countries to our vibrant and multicultural school. You can train as an English language teacher, study English for your work or every day and learn a modern language. Choose from part-time and full-time study, in small groups or one-to-one, in the evening or daytime.

IH London is currently teaching 12 languages online in a variety of formats- group, one to one, corporate - with classes offered at a range different times and days of the week live and online.

Teacher Training courses, exam preparation and young learner courses are also taking place online.

Courses have regular start dates and lessons are taught via Zoom by our wonderful IH London teachers. Social activities are also taking place online, meaning students can continue to practise their language skills outside of class. Some examples of social events are: Karaoke, Quiz, Conversation, Zumba and lots more!

During spring and summer we offer English language courses for young learners at our Edinburgh, Ellesmere, Frensham, Moulton and Oxford Young Learner Centres.

IH London is just a few minutes' walk from Covent Garden in the centre of London, the capital city of the United Kingdom.

The attractions of London include historic royal palaces, world-renowned museums, galleries of international reputation and much more. London boasts a varied and thriving social scene with thousands of pubs, bars, clubs, cinemas and venues. There is something for everyone here! Our student social programme is a fantastic way to explore the city and make new friends.

IH London is the largest Cambridge English CELTA and Delta centre in the world. We have been training teachers for over fifty years and have welcomed more than 58,000 teachers through our doors in this time.

IH London introduced the world’s first practical qualification for English language teaching in 1962, which later became the CELTA. It is accredited by Cambridge English and is recognised internationally. We have also developed a range of other specialist teacher training and development programmes and each year we welcome teachers from all over the world to participate in our courses.

Our legacy is a network of teachers and trainers who have published leading textbooks and helped develop and shape the industry.
