New Accommodation and Summer Fun at IH Belfast
Summer 2024 was a season of change for IH Belfast as they moved into brand-new student accommodation, offering top-tier lodging for their students. Located in the heart of Belfast, this state-of-the-art residence provides a modern, comfortable living experience with easy access to the city’s vibrant cultural scene. There are fabulous common areas where their students can interact with English speakers—don't miss those 360-degree views of the Belfast Hills from the rooftop terrace!
Over the summer, young learners at Campbell College enjoyed a wonderful summer of learning, cultural awareness and adventure as they tried Irish dancing, played Irish football, attended a bodhrán (Irish drum) class, visited Derry and Dublin and even threw their very own céilí! Summer 2025 promises even more adventurous elements added to the programme as the school incorporates more task-based learning into the centre… watch this space!
A New Home for IH Cape Town
We’re thrilled to announce that IH Cape Town has moved to a new location at 35 Wale Street, right in the vibrant heart of Cape Town!
The new school is designed to inspire and motivate language learners. Social spaces offer breathtaking views of Cape Town’s iconic landmark, Table Mountain.
The modern, open layout of the building allows for abundant natural light and adaptable workspaces, ensuring a pleasant and dynamic atmosphere. Pathway Programme Success at IH Düsseldorf
Daniel is studying business administration in Düsseldorf, Oscar is specialising in cardiology, Andrea is working as an intensive care nurse and Jeisson is studying to be a Health Care professional. What do they have in common? They all learnt German at IH Düsseldorf GoAcademy! and subsequently found access to the German labour market.
The school now has students, doctors and nurses from all over the world. In addition to teaching them the language, IH Düsseldorf helps students submit certified documents to the authorities to have their education recognised, assists them in choosing and enrolling at a university and supports them in finding a job or training place.

Student Satisfaction Driven by Barrier-Free Communication at IH Manchester
A few years ago IH Manchester accidentally discovered a real game changer. By asking one of their "walk-in" students why exactly had they chosen our school.
"Because you get the best Google reviews of any school in the city," she said.
The team looked into this and, sure enough, they did! It was a great discovery and something worth shouting about! Nowadays, everybody checks online reviews before making a purchase, no matter how much they trust the person recommendations.
Investigating further, the IH Manchester team discovered that students loved how easy it was to speak to a member of staff. The team addressed issues quickly before they became bigger problems.
None of the key staff have offices - they have desks in the middle of the student common room. They can see if a student isn’t happy even before they tell them. It's simple, yet so effective!

Summer in Normandy: French & Gastronomy and Teacher Training
This summer at IH Rouen-French in Normandy was truly remarkable. They successfully hosted the first edition of their "French & Gastronomy" programme, welcoming over forty students from around the world for a unique three-week experience.
Their general methodology and NLA (Neuro Linguistic Approach) sessions brought great satisfaction to teachers seekingto enhance their professional skills. Meanwhile, students of various nationalities and ages participated in their general French courses and explored the stunning landscapes of Normandy.
From cultural immersion to gastronomic delights, everyone left with wonderful memories and new international friendships.
The team is immensely grateful to everyone who joined them and made this summer unforgettable!

CLIC Wins Star Award for the Best Spanish School in Spain and Latin America
Eva is IH Sevilla's Spanish Department Coordinator and has worked at the school for nearly 30 years. Her highlight of 2024 was winning the Star Award again.

IH World & IH Schools at ST Alphe UK
International House World and IH Study Abroad schools had a productive weekend at Study Travel Alphe UK in London this September. We hosted a dedicated IH Village to facilitate networking with agents at IH schools. As always, it was a wonderful opportunity to share the unique value of studying abroad with International House and a great chance to strengthen working relationships with agents.
We also had the opportunity to thank agents who consistently support and champion IH at our annual IH Valued Partner Lunch. The event was a great success and an ideal way to finish the conference.
