2017 has been a year of growth for Tim Eckenfels, owner of International House Sydney City and International House Bondi English language schools. After the opening of IH Bondi in January and the launch of ih Business College/ihBC division at IH Sydney City in November, the company is pleased to announce the grand opening of its newest location, International House Darwin and ihBC Darwin at 3 Searcy St. in the Darwin CBD.
Construction began on the school in October, transforming a former health club into a modern, bright and welcoming college for students from more than 75 countries worldwide. IH Darwin will offer the same high quality English language courses as IH Sydney City and IH Bondi, as well as Business and Project Management courses under ih Business College/ihBC.
The building now has capacity for over 300 students and offers both morning and evening classes. This will greatly assist the Northern Territory to achieve its goal of 10,000 international students studying in the Territory by 2022.
Mr. Eckenfels, who has more than 25 years of experience in the international education industry, believes Darwin “to be an excellent location for our international students. Darwin’s tropical climate, exciting outdoor activities, friendly and welcoming inhabitants, and uniquely Australian cultural experience, will all ensure the success of this location.”
The school will ultimately offer 6 levels of General English, Cambridge, IELTS and Pearsons exam preparation classes, as well as Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diplomas in both Business and Project Management.
