IH Darwin and ihBC Darwin Officially Opens its Doors

On Wednesday 17th January, International House Sydney City, Bondi and Darwin owner Tim Eckenfels hosted the Grand Opening of the completely refurnished Darwin building, where the college will offer English language and vocational courses in Business for over 1000 students this year.

With attendees from various industries, the event was an important moment for representatives of the education industry to show the relevance of the sector and its role in promoting the growth of the Northern Territory as a study destination for international students.

The Honourable Ms. Eva Lawler, Minister of Education NT, gave a speech where she noted the important role of the education sector in making Darwin and the Northern territory a prosperous place. The Minister also thanked International House Darwin for their offer of an indigenous culture curriculum, which will help international students learn and understand Australian culture and its history.

ihBC / ih Business College, the vocational division of International House Darwin, will start its first term on the 29th January with 25+ students enrolled. Many of the event attendees showed an interest in working closely with the college in order to recruit students for Business and Project Management VET courses.

We wish the whole Darwin team a great first few weeks and an excellent rest of the year!
