Why did you decide to take the IH Director of Studies Course with International House’s OTTI?
I wanted to undertake further CDP with an internationally recognised and reputable training provider. This was the best solution due to the expertise and experience of the training provider, course tutors and participants. As I was increasingly undertaking academic management responsibilities in various contexts and roles, such as recruitment and training, course and curriculum planning, etc. I needed a structured, focused and flexible CPD course/certification to help consolidate my experience to date.
How did you find the IH Director of Studies Course content?
The content was very useful and covered a broad range of relevant topics. Reflective and practical tasks and assignments could be applied to course participants’ individual educational contexts – university in my case. I learnt I had a lot more ideas and experience to actively and effectively participate in the course than I had originally thought. That it was very useful through the sharing of ideas and experience with like-minded colleagues, no matter their age, experience, educational context, or stage of career in academic management.
