IH Riga is a modern language school in Riga, Latvia. The school was founded in 1993 and it is located in the historic centre of the city.
We have grown to be one of the largest private language schools in Riga employing over 60 members of staff.
We teach students of all ages from 3 years old. Our school offers English and Latvian courses. 75% of classes are in-school. We teach General English, exam preparation classes and some business courses.
Riga is a large modern city with a medieval heart and art nouveau districts so there are always plenty of things to do and see. The main cultural and entertainment attractions in Riga are all within easy walking distance. The famous Jurmala beach resort is close to the city.
Our teachers enjoy an active social life in Riga. The school organises trips to places of local interest and parties at least three times a year. Some of our Latvian teachers have been with us for more than 20 years, which shows both the quality of the teachers we employ and the respect with which we treat them in a very pleasant working environment.

The teachers’ room complex is large and airy with a large stock of methodology and resource books for all ages and levels. All full-time teachers have their own classrooms which have WiFi access.
