Christmas is the season for giving, and IH Reggio Calabria did just that with their Christmas raffle in aid of Action Against Hunger, a charity which creates and manages programmes that save lives in 50 countries around the world, helping almost 15 million people per year.
At their school Christmas party, attendees had the opportunity to buy raffle tickets for the chance to win a 45-hour free course. In just one hour, students and teachers raised over 300 euros for the charity - and to top it all off, this figure was doubled by the generous owners of the school.
Lisa Phillips, Director of Studies at IH Reggio Calabria, said: “This was a great initiative and I’m very proud of the enthusiasm that the teachers, owners and students showed. I think they really captured the spirit of the season.”
A feel good Christmas story that proves giving can be even better than receiving. Well done IH Reggio Calabria!
