International House Malta (IH Malta) partnered with FIDEM Foundation this December to empower women through a job-readiness workshop.
FIDEM Foundation is a non-profit organisation providing holistic support and empowerment opportunities to vulnerable people, particularly women and adolescent girls, through access to education and well-being guidance. Since its launch in 2018, Fidem has assisted and mentored over 300 women through its Educate to Empower programme and more recently through its Skill Up adult education course that leads to MQF Level 3 certificate in English.
IH Malta promotes an innovative and engaging learning experience with highly qualified teachers, an interactive and advanced use of technology, and a strong focus on real-life communication skills. With a multicultural staff and student body, we aim for inclusion and fostering a sense of community to ensure an immersive and unforgettable experience, both inside at outside of the classroom.
About the Workshop
As part of the initiative, IH Malta hosted a Jobs and Skills Workshop on December 12th, 2024, aimed at supporting women to be confident and prepared for their next career step.
IH Malta’s teachers volunteered their time and expertise to guide participants in developing practical skills for job interviews. The workshop, organised in partnership with the FIDEM Foundation, focused on enhancing employability through CV and cover letter writing and interview preparation.
IH Malta strongly believes in the power of education in transforming lives, and by partnering with the FIDEM Foundation, they were able to use their resources and expertise to empower women and make a positive impact in their community. The workshop was a valuable opportunity to equip participants with the tools and confidence they need to pursue meaningful employment.
IH Malta and FIDEM Foundation believe this is not charity but a right all women deserve.
