A free conference for state school and ELT teachers was organised recently by IH Ancona|Jesi Victoria in Italy, providing a space where ideas could be shared.
‘The Bright Side of the Road’ conference was the third in the school’s ‘Our Today For Their Tomorrow’ cycle of events, and took place on February 23rd 2018 and was attended by more than 100 teachers.
Some of the themes explored at the conference included storytelling, mindfulness and lexical approaches, among many others.
It was also aimed to increase awareness of the International House brand and its stream of resources for teachers, one of which is the current IH Wellbeing Season providing Live Online Workshops for teachers on the topic of mindfulness and wellbeing for teachers.
Silvia Paoltroni, course coordinator and communications at IH Ancona|Jesi Victoria, said, “It [was] an occasion to raise awareness about quality teaching, the IH brand, and the importance of culture in teaching a language.”
