Education strengthens ties between the UK and Mexico

International House Mexico and NCUK, a consortium of UK universities, have launched a joint programme for Mexicans undergraduates. This will enable students to start their university studies in Mexico with International House Mexico and then continue their degrees in the UK, at one of a number of outstanding British universities.

British Ambassador Corin Robertson, Louise Batchelder, secretary for the British Chamber of Commerce; Laura Rivieccio, UK Market Development Manager for America; Ariel López, President of International House Mexico and Natasha Tanfara, National Director of International House Mexico were all present at the British Embassy in Mexico City for the launch of this alliance, built not only on education but on the deep bonds of friendship between the two countries.

“Immersing yourself in another culture is a hugely enriching experience for any student, but sometimes, people fear the unknown.  One of the great benefits of this program is that, during the year that they study in Mexico, our students will gain the necessary skills and confidence to successfully complete their university studies abroad” commented Ariel López, President of International House Mexico’s Board. “We are delighted to have an alliance with NCUK, who have a proven reputation in international higher education.”

At present, the NCUK-International House programme will be offered in Mexico City, with plans to extend its reach across the Republic of Mexico in the near future.

Well done IH Mexico!
