On Wednesday 9th December at 2 pm UK time IH Teachers, trainers and DOSes are invited to take part in a live webinar with Ros Wright & Tom Fassnidge Authors of the OET Skills Builder series (Express Publishing, 2020) designed to help candidates prepare for the Occupational English Test. -the English language test for healthcare professionals.
OET has been developed specifically for 12 healthcare professions. Tests reflect real workplace tasks and relevant language skills.
During this webinar participants will have the opportunity to go through the Reading & Listening, Speaking & Writing parts of the test, learn practical skills to train candidates and ask the speakers specific questions.
This guide to OET Reading and Listening will cover test format, question types and strategies for all sections of both papers. Topics include key skills to develop, language areas for focus, question and answer analysis and demystifying clinical language. This presentation aims to prepare trainers to deal with the most common issues that arise when preparing candidates for the Occupational English Test.
This guide to OET Speaking and Writing will cover test format and marking criteria for both papers. Focus will then move to developing an understanding of the implications of patient-centred care which constitutes the key to success in OET Speaking.
