IH Cordoba Sierra
International House Cordoba is known locally as “Academia Britanica”, and was the first International House to be founded by John and Brita Haycraft in 1953.
Since that time the school has continued to grow and in 2010 a second school, the SIERRA school, was opened. The SIERRA school is situated in modern, purpose-built premises. The school has grown since its inauguration and currently houses 22 classrooms, a staffroom and an open-plan study centre. The building is fully air-conditioned, with central heating, WIFI and all classrooms have computers and interactive whiteboards.
The school’s committed team of professional teachers offers English, French, Spanish and German classes and a variety of extra-curricular activities. The school is a Cambridge Examination Centre and the Spanish Department, Academia Hispanica, is accredited by the Instituto Cervantes. Our levels go from young learners to C2 level and we offer general English and exam preparation courses for very young learners, young learners and adults. The school also offers “Baby music” classes for the very young and specialist business or IELTS/TOEFEL classes.
Our priority is always taking care of our students and staff. That has never been more true than now. While the impact of coronavirus means that coming into classes is not advisable or not possible, we are still here for you. Our classes are still running online, and we are keeping as much normality as we can. Our teachers and staff are here to support you as far as possible. From online classes, to activities to complete at home and technical advice, we are doing what we can to keep you on track on your course.
