Academic Head of Training and Development for International House World Organisation publishes book on mobile learning
Shaun Wilden, Academic Head of Training and Development for International House World Organisation (IHWO), has written a new book on mobile learning. Published by Oxford University Press, it offers a comprehensive overview of the use of mobile devices as powerful multimedia tools in the classroom, as well as providing practical suggestions and instructions.
From implementing mobile devices, to taking first steps and eventually starting your own projects, Mobile Learning explains the benefits of bringing mobile into the classroom, while exploring the wide-ranging potential afforded by different devices, applications, audio, video, animation, and storytelling options.
"We are delighted about the publication of Shaun’s book, which is a fantastic resource for teachers who want to utilise mobile in the classroom”, said Lucy Horsefield, COO of IH World. "We are fortunate to benefit from Shaun’s knowledge and expertise through his work with IHWO in developing and delivering the extensive IH Online Teacher Training offer, and this book is full of valuable insight.”
Mobile Learning is available to buy from numerous online outlets, and provides teachers with dozens of practical ideas and activities they can immediately incorporate into their teaching. Shaun will be delivering a plenary session on mobile learning at the forthcoming IH Academic Management and Trainers Conference in January 2018.
