What a whirlwind! The IH Study Abroad Event in Split, 2024 was one of our most successful networking events yet.
Representatives from IH Study Abroad schools around the world came together with international education agents to embrace the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and networking that defines International House during these few days.
There is a huge variety of courses at IH Study Abroad schools, from young learners to academic pathways, 30 or 50+. 70+ years of excellence in language teaching etc.
I found it a really useful and intimate event. It was so much nicer to meet everyone in a more relaxed, smaller environment.

Our events are more than business; they're about building lasting relationships between agents and the IH community. IH is bringing the world together through language.
On Friday delegates explored the magnificent Medieval Fortress of Kliss with spectacular views of Split. This historic site was used as a setting for the Game of Thrones series. The group then ventured over to Stella Croatica to taste traditional food and olive oil from the region.
I would recommend without hesitation the IH Conference for the quality of the speakers and the agencies.

More delegates arrived and we reconvened at the pool of the Radisson Blu Hotel for a welcome drinks reception overlooking the sea.
Saturday opened with an update from IH World’s Managing Director, Emma Hoyle. She explored how the IH commitment to quality is at the core of all schools and the main reason to choose to work with them. The IH inspection framework is the benchmark is quality assurance schemes and reassures agents and students the Study Abroad experience will be exceptional.
It is always very inspiring to meetwith new schools but also our fellow agents. This is a very reasonable size of event compared to other huge ones. It gives a more "human" touch.

We were delighted to announce the launch of the new IH Valued Partner Scheme. This is a programme to recognise those agents who value and support the IH brand by working with several of our schools. Some of the benefits of joining include exclusive invitations to events such as our workshops or the Alphe lunch that we launched in September last year, increased visibility within the IH network, access to rewards & incentives and exclusive use of the IH Valued Partner logo.
Nicola Lutz from NoFluff presented “Easy ways to use ChatGPT to make life easier in marketing and sales”. We explored easy, practical strategies that bring together the best of both worlds: cutting-edge AI capabilities and the irreplaceable value of human touch.
Representatives from our Partner, GuardMe International Insurance, Nicoletta Pinto and Michelle Brown presented their services “Supporting Schools and Students”.
A fantastic opportunity to meet with current and future partners, and colleagues to brainstorm and learn from each other... Nothing but a privilege.

Jasmina Milošević captured everyone’s attention with “8 Seconds to Inspire: Engaging GenZ with Study Abroad Opportunities”.
Agents and schools then had a busy afternoon of meetings. For agents, it was an opportunity to discover the difference in Study Abroad programmes from IH schools where excellence is not just a standard but a commitment. We welcomed agents from all over the world, Turkey, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, South Africa and much more.
We finished off a productive day with a closing dinner overlooking the sea. We were treated to a performance from traditional Klapa singers. Finally, we held an awards ceremony where we presented scholarships to use at IH schools, No Fluff, Study Travel and Guard.me.
Thank you to our wonderful hosts, IH Split, our Partner Guard.me and all the agents and schools who attended. It was a great atmosphere and we can’t wait to see you again.
