IH Izmir was the proud host of one of the biggest Young Learners events ever held in Izmir.
With over 200 participants coming from all over Turkey and conducted by the in-house tutors, this event explored the world of YL from a different perspective. The workshop style of the event caught participants by surprise right from the start and the lively atmosphere and activities had everyone bouncing around the hall for most of the day. The plenary session by Ali Farbod had the teachers explore the element of creativity in teaching young learners and invited the teachers to introduce the ‘WOW factor’ into their lessons. This was followed by Daria Vaskova’s workshop on practicality in teaching, and the final event of the day, topped off with an unexpected interjection of live music was Sinem Daridere’s ‘Simple and Fun’ workshop.
A day of exploring, sharing ideas, games, music, dancing, and many useful ideas for the teachers to take back to their classrooms.
