This year's IH TORUŃ TEACHER TRAINING DAY took place on Saturday 6th November and was a face to face event. It was wonderful for them to be back at a live event again and to get to mingle with like-minded ELT teachers from all across Poland.
This year they also had a live online stream via the school's YouTube channel. Participants from Italy, Ukraine, Russia, Egypt and many other countries got to enjoy some of the sessions virtually.
Their main guest speaker was Jeremy Harmer who ran two workshops on using songs in the classroom. He also gave a plenary about whether we should change our approach to teaching after months being online. Other presenters included Katherine Stannett, Ania Kolbuszewska, Rob Howard, Yulianto Lukito & Yanina Leigh (from IH Sydney), Christopher Walker (from IH Bielsko-Biała), Tomasz Róg and Glenn Standish (who also organised the event).
Jeremy Harmer said that
"the atmosphere was just right and I enjoyed meeting the teachers who were there. Good fun all round!".
The next IH Toruń Teacher Training Day will take place in spring 2023 and will be a special BIG event to celebrate IH Toruń's 30th anniversary. Watch this space!
