Our social Programme and Facilities Manager is responsible for the daily social activities and excursions at IH Belfast. They will also be responsible for the upkeeping of Sandhurst House – our award-winning student accommodation – and meet and greet our new students.
SOCIAL PROGRAMME MANAGER
To design, organise and accompany students on a programme of social activities and specifically:
To design a monthly programme of social activities for IH Students;
To give students an induction explaining how the programme works;
To ensure a range of activities that is engaging, fun and informative;
To ensure that these activities comprise some afternoons, some evenings and some weekend excursions;
To actively and regularly promote these activities amongst IH Belfast students both in person and through social media;
To ensure that students get a chance to practice their English while participating in the social programme;
To publicise the social programme on social media for our overseas clients;
Update risk assessments for each social programme activity;
To ensure the general safety of all students taking part in the activities;
To ensure staff/student supervision ratios are adhered to.
Top Up gas and Electricity at SH apartments weekly;
Do general checks that apartments are in good state of repair;
Report any damage to IH Belfast reception so they can inform the landlord;
Offer general assistance to students for minor issues in apartments (ref. appliances and fixtures and fittings).
MEET ANF GREETS AT SANDHURST HOUSE
Meet new arrivals at SH and stay in contact with them on arrival;
Check the arrivals phone in case of any reports of issues or delays on arrival;
If students are delayed and they have an airport transfer organised, to reschedule the airport transfer with the driver, for the new arrival time.
