Job description:

International House Riga Satva is looking for enthusiastic teachers for the 2018-19 academic year.

Full-time teachers work up to 120 academic hours per four-week period (averaging 30 academic hours per week). Classes are mainly in the afternoon and evening (except for Saturdays) although there are some morning adult classes.

We provide group- (up to 12 students) and individual lessons for learners of all ages. Whilst the majority of our students are young learners (3 to 18 years old), we do have a number of adult classes.

We make every effort to arrange teachers' timetables according to their strengths and preferences and avoiding split shifts.

We also offer a number of specialist programmes such as 'Professional English' for adults and IELTS preparation.

The school is open six days a week (09:00 - 21:00 Mon-Fri, 10:00 - 16:00 Sat). Teachers have two full days off per week (Sunday plus one other day).

IH Riga provides academic support in the form of weekly training seminars  during the academic year (compulsory for full-time teachers) and both formal and informal observations. We also offer a number of IH courses face-to-face (IHCYLT, IHVYL) and can assist financially with IH online courses. IH Riga is also a Delta Module One examination centre and we offer free preparation for all our teachers.

The school will pay up to €250 for flights/baggage allowance for each academic year,
