We are delighted to announce the annual IHWO Academic Management & Trainers Conference, scheduled to take place in London from January 7th to 9th, 2027.
We look forward to welcoming all IH Academic Managers and Teacher Trainers from across the globe for three days filled with plenaries and workshops that cover both managerial content and practical classroom ideas.
The AMT conference is a fantastic opportunity to share, collaborate and explore the extensive knowledge and expertise within the IH network. Attendees will have the chance to discuss and exchange old and new ideas, delve into teaching principles and procedures and collaborate with the IH community.
It’s a valuable opportunity for managers to find solutions to their challenges, share successful projects and connect with people in the same position who live a similar day-to-day experience.Â
Venue and getting there
We will have two venues in 2027. On Thursday and Friday, the sessions will take place at The Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury, then on Saturday, we will move to IH London.Â
The nearest tube station to The Holiday Inn is Russell Square, which is a 2-minute walk and on the Piccadilly Line. There are numerous bus stops in very close proximity to the venue.
It takes 17 minutes to walk to International House London from The Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury and the nearest tube station is Holborn which is a 6-minute walk and on both the Piccadilly and Central lines.

Comments from past participants
‘The AMT conference is the highlight of my ELT calendar’.
‘It feels like a real think-tank after a normally hard year of struggling with everyday obstacles. Highly motivating to implement new projects/ideas/improvements for the upcoming year. Great people and really good networking’.
‘It was great to listen to so many experienced and creative speakers and learn from them. It was my first conference and I found it very useful, especially the ‘practical’ sessions. I was surprised by the variety of topics developed at the conference and enjoyed talking to the other IH managers about their work, problems and solutions’.
‘It’s a fantastic conference. Very well organised, excellent speakers and lots of good ideas to bring back to school. Also the best opportunity to meet and share ideas with ‘colleagues’ across the network’.
