Session Abstract: We all promote that our schools are inclusive and diverse. But sometimes we need to take a step back and have a reality check. Is what we do really inclusive? Do we offer choices for our learners? Are all taking part in creating their learning path? Do we celebrate diversity in our curriculum and our lessons?
I would like to invite you to go on a journey through our classes and see what great things we already have in place and where we might need to think about changes to create a truly inclusive and diverse place for our learners to grow. We will work with an adapted version of the ‘Index for Inclusion’ by Mel Ainscow and Antony Booth and take out the questions that help us to think about the learning process at our schools and in our lessons.
Speaker Bio: Anette is an experienced ELT teacher and teacher trainer and she is the IH World German Advisor. She has nearly a decade of experience working as Special Educational Needs Coordinator and inclusive practice.
