Third workshop: The effect of other languages on Arabic.

Presenter: Nashwa Erfan
Time: Saturday, April 30th 14:20 – 14:50 (London Time)

The language is a living creature that grows, develops and flourishes. Also, it disappears. It takes from the other languages and gives them. It can affect and get affected by each other. This is what happened with the Arabic language during ages as it affected and got affected by different languages such as English, French, Turkish, etc. this sometimes can appear to us clearly and in some other times it cannot be clear. So, we think that the words and phrases that we use are from our original language. So, we will try to identify some of the Turkish words that we use in our colloquial Egyptian Arabic.
