Zoom & Google Classroom : le cocktail parfait pour une classe interactive et efficace

Cela fait bientôt deux ans que le big bang des cours en ligne a explosé. S’il était acceptable, dans le chaos initial, de faire avec les moyens du bord, la majorité des étudiants sont à présent plus à l’aise avec les outils numériques et s’attendent à plus de variété et d’efficacité dans la classe en ligne.
Dans cette session pratique, nous verrons comment allier deux plateformes peut encourager les interactions, maintenir l’attention des étudiants et créer une atmosphère vivante, tout en facilitant la gestion de classe.

N.B. : la plupart des idées proposées s’appliquent à d’autres plateformes. Cependant, il est nécessaire pour participer à toutes les activités d’avoir un compte gmail et de pouvoir y accéder pendant la session. Il est aussi recommandé de savoir comment joindre un Google classroom.

La session sera suivie d’une table ronde où les participants pourront, s’ils le souhaitent, échanger des idées sur les thèmes FLE de leur choix.

Zoom & Google Classroom : the perfect combination for an effective and interactive class

Date : Saturday 6th November, 10.00-11.30 (GMT)/11-12.30 (CET) + informal discussion (optional) 11.45-12.30 (GMT)/12.45-13.30 (CET)

It will soon be 2 years since the online classes big bang took place. Whilst, in the midst of the initial chaos, a “hand-made cobbled together” style was acceptable, most students have become more comfortable with digital tools and expect more variety as well as effectiveness from the online class. In this practical session, we will see how combining two platforms can promote interaction, maintain students’ attention and create a lively atmosphere, while making classroom management smoother.

Please note most of the ideas discussed will apply to other platforms. However, you will need to have a gmail account and to have access to it during the session in order to participate in all the activities. It is also recommended that participants know how to join a Google classroom. The session will be followed by an informal discussion, where participants can, if they wish, exchange ideas on any topics of their choice around teaching French as a foreign language.
