IH Minsk Conference for English Teachers
21-22 April 2018
International House Minsk will hold its 2nd International Conference for English Teachers on April 21–22, 2018 in Belarus.
During the two-day event, participants will be able to attend four plenary sessions and five workshops. These will be presented by professional teachers, teacher trainers and academic managers from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, the UK and Czech Republic. Among them are Tim Bowen, Mike Cattlin, Olga Connoly, Edward Evans, Mike Astbury, Heather Humphreys, Lena Tiutina and Elena Malinovskaya, among many others from IH Minsk and other educational institutions.
The conference sessions will cover a wide range of topics, including teaching young learners more effectively, making language progress salient to students, developing learner autonomy and independent thinking, approaching reading in different ways and taking advantage of teaching in monolingual classroom.
“We hope to make this event an exciting and useful professional development and networking opportunity for about 200 teachers of the widest range of backgrounds, experiences and teaching contexts,” IH Minsk said.
