Annual IH Deutsch Teacher Training 2019 at IH Heidelberg

Every year the “IH Deutsch Annual Teacher Training” takes place in one of the affiliated IH-schools of Germany or Switzerland. The training is offered free of charge to teachers for German as a foreign language in order to improve the teaching skills and to promote the networking within IH-staff in Germany and Switzerland.

The participating schools offer workshops sessions for free to ensure the success of the event. This year workshops will be held by the IH Heidelberg, IH Berlin, IH Zürich-Baden and IH Köln. Moreover we will all have dinner together and a drink afterwards to get to know each other even better. We would like to invite further teachers to join the training weekend as well teachers of other languages. The workshops are not for German teachers only as the training is focused on teaching methods in general. The overall topic is, according to the IH teaching philosophy: “less teacher speaking time – more student speaking time.”

The teacher training 2019 takes place at IH Heidelberg – Collegium Platinum on November 9-10, 2019. The training starts at 1:45 pm on Saturday and ends at around 2 pm on Sunday. For further information, please contact: Susanne Merz, dos at IH Heidelberg: merz@collegium-palatinum.de
