IH Brno was established in 1990 and continues to be a small and friendly school that enjoys a good reputation in our city.
We teach general English to adults at all levels from beginner to proficiency. We also run exam classes preparing students for the KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE and BEC exams.

Although I’ve only been working at ILC IH Brno for a short while, it has definitely been one of the most enjoyable experiences of my teaching career so far. The range of courses offered ensures that no two days are ever the same, I have a nice mix of adult, YL, exam and company classes. The opportunities for professional development are also great, with regular in-house training sessions, conferences and mentoring with fellow teachers.
Speaking of which, the staffroom has a great, international team who are always happy to discuss language points and share lesson ideas. There is a truly supportive atmosphere here, and the school makes every effort to help newbies settle in.
Not that this is something anyone should be concerned about in Brno - as the Czech Republic’s second city, its liveable size makes it a very comfortable place to get around with plenty of affordable places to unwind.

I began working at ILC IH Brno in September 2022 and since then I feel that I have gained a lot of varied experience in a short space of time, from teaching exam classes to YL groups. The school supported my accommodation search prior to my arrival which was invaluable and on arrival I was assigned to a mentor who has helped me plan classes and address any issues I've faced, such as classroom management. I have found the team to be collaborative and supportive of new teachers. Senior Teachers running foundation sessions have provided invaluable advice and feedback.
