IH Tarragona is one of the city’s leading language schools and is a Cambridge ESOL Authorised Exam Centre.
Tarragona is a beautiful coastal resort (pop. 115,000) approximately 100km (1 hour by train/bus) south of Barcelona. It is situated on the Costa Dorada on the east coast of Spain and is a UNESCO World Heritage city. Its historic monuments and sandy beaches - all within walking distance of the school - make it an ideal place for young people to study. It is also very close to Port Aventura theme park.
IH Tarragona was founded in 1980 and occupies one floor of a typical Tarragona town house. It is situated in the very centre of the city and all the major sights and the beach are within walking distance. The school has 9 classrooms, the largest of which are equipped with interactive whiteboards.
For the Summer Spanish Program for Teenagers, IH Tarragona offers two types of accommodation: Spanish host families and a university student residence. In both cases, the accommodation is with full board. The course includes a very full program of excursions and activities with all costs covered.
