International House Milan was founded in 1982 by Sieglinde Wolkan and Claudio Tedesco, with the objective to meet the language learning needs of every kind of student, providing the highest standards of tuition in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
It has been an Affiliate Member of the IHWO since 1997.
It is officially recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education, it is affiliated to ASILS (Association of Schools of Italian as a Second Language), AiSLi (Italian Association of Language Schools) and Federlingue (the national association of companies operating in the language services sector).
IH Milan is an authorized CELI and CIC Exam Centre (European Certification for Italian), it is accredited by the CSN and it is ISO certified in accordance with standard UNI EN 9001-2008 (QUA).
Milan is a lively and vibrant city with something for everyone: not only is it Italy’s most important cultural and financial centre, it is also its fashion and design capital. Milan also offers a wide variety of entertainment, from cinemas to salsa dancing, sport events to nightclubbing. Hundreds of bars and restaurants cater to all tastes and budgets.
International House Milan occupies the 5th floor of Torre Velasca, right in the centre of Milan, just a short walk from the Duomo Cathedral and very well connected to any area of the city. It is fully air conditioned with state-of-the-art facilities.
Accommodation can be booked through IH Milan in selected host families on a bed & breakfast or half-board basis. Shared apartments with permanent tenants are also available.
IH Milano organises a monthly social programme for their students.
