International House Bucharest is located in the heart of Bucharest, at Tineretului, close to the bustling Unirea Shopping Center and Manuc’s Inn, a picturesque 18th century old inn. The famous Houses of Parliament (second biggest building in the world) is within walking distance and the shopping area along Lipscani Street can also be reached on foot.

Bucharest, Romania’s Capital is a beautiful city with parks, beautiful palaces and museums. With 2.3 millions inhabitants it remains, one of the last undiscovered European cities. Bucharest is the most populous and the most important town in Romania, being the principal political, administrative, economic, financial, banking, educational, scientific and cultural centre of the country. The climate is one of extremes, with hot summers (July average temperature, 23° C / 73° F) and cold winters (January average, -3° C / 27° F). Rainfall is low, averaging 585 mm (23 in) annually, and comes mainly in summer.

Bucharest is famous for its lively nightlife. Romanians are Latin people and they love life. Casinos, Bars, Pubs, Discos are open all night long (till 5 AM or 6 AM).
Classical Music or theatre lovers can attend Operas, Theatres and Symphonies at Opera Romana, National Theatre or other concert halls such as Sala Palatului and Romanian Athenaeum.

Contract dates:
a minimum one year contract renewable
Hours:
For teachers: Teach from 18-22 contact hours per week (each lasting 60 minutes), from Monday to Friday.
Holidays:
21 days holiday for a 12 month contract
Accommodation:
Accommodation in a flat, either single or shared with another teacher, is provided free by the school.

10% Other languages( Romanian French, Spanish)
Number of teachers:
50 - a combination of full time/ part time and other languages. Most of the teachers are non-native speakers.

Training rooms fully equipped (TV, video, cassette players, air conditioning).
Future Developments:
We are planning to expand our Young Learner department. In 2009 we also hope to extend our range of ESP courses to our clients.
