Job description

IH Dublin is looking for a qualified and experienced CELTA tutor to work on full time, part time and Online CELTA courses.  This position opens in March and the contract will initially be on a six-month trial basis.  Applicants should be EU citizens and should have a degree, a DELTA and be a qualified and experienced (one year+) University of Cambridge ESOL CELTA tutor.

Timetable information anticipated number of teaching hours

CELTA:  1.5 input hours per day, 45 minutes lesson planning, 2 hours TP and 1 hour feedback. 
Teaching:  25 contact hours per week (timetable 08.45-17.15) or 20 contact hours and 10 CELTA admin hours (vetting and interviewing applicants and pre-course admin).

Healthcare is subsidised in Ireland but not free.  Employees are obliged to pay monthly contributions (included in the deductions above)

Holiday Pay what are the dates of the school's holidays during the academic year? Do teachers receive any days paid holiday in addition to these set holiday periods?

Temporary staff are entitled to 8% holiday pay (cumulative).  Full time staff are entitled to 20 days’ holiday per year. 
IH Dublin closes for two weeks over Christmas and staff must take 5 days’ (or more, if they prefer) holiday during this period.  Holidays may not be taken during July and the first two weeks in August.
