International House Agents’ Workshop 2011 – VALENCIA, Spain

The 17th International House Agents’ Workshop was held in the beautiful Spanish city of Valencia from 4-6 May. IH World and the host school IH Valencia welcomed 30 schools and 60 agents from a total of 21 countries around the globe, with agents travelling from as far away as Thailand, the Ukraine and Brazil.

In between meetings, the schools and agents were treated to dinner in the famous City of Arts and Sciences and a guided tour of the spectacular Palau Des Arts opera house.  They also had plenty of opportunity to explore the newly-refurbished IH Valencia school and enjoyed a lunch at the beach.

"When you’ve met the people that run the schools, it is much easier to recommend them to clients," said Norwegian agent Birger Reinhardt Larsen from Study In anOther Country (SIOC). "The quality of International House schools is higher than most of their competitors."

The Workshop attracted significant attention from the Spanish national press, appearing on television, four radio stations and in national newspapers.

Valencia is a fascinating city, host of the 2007 Americas Cup, with beautiful beaches and an impressive old town.

Espanole IH Valencia is a medium size school with a friendly atmosphere and personalised attention to their students. It is conveniently located in the city centre, in the historic part of Valencia, and just a step away from all the interesting sights and services. The school is in an independent four-storey building with 10 spacious classrooms with air-conditioning and natural light. Please note, next year's Workshop has been moved from May to March. It will be held on 21st - 23rd March in 2012.
