The IH London Trust started two new charitable campaigns in 2010. The first began in April, when the school set up a project working with the charity CRISIS to provide free English teaching for a year. CRISIS is a UK charity dedicated to ending homelessness by providing essential services to single homeless people. CRISIS already has a small, qualified team of ESOL teachers, and IH London provided an additional member of staff over four terms.
Later in the year, the Trust funded a volunteer to run a CELTA course for Hackney Migrants Centre, a London-based charity offering free advice and support for asylum seekers, refugees and migrants. The plan being to set up a small teaching capacity as well as providing basic teaching materials.
