A sunny Saturday morning of May, 12 was cheered up by the enthusiastic team of teachers and staff of IH Astana. In less than 4 hours of our Action Day event, the central park became a popular destination for IH students and general public to pay a tribute to those who are in need.
Young teenagers and adults volunteered by sitting a placement test which cost around 3,5 dollars to support the charity! They raised the sum of 145 USD which was donated to the Orphanage Centre of Astana. With flying colours Action Day united many crowds, spread the word about charity and left a positive impact on the whole year to come.
While our Astana colleagues were raising money for children, an Almaty team of teachers, staff and students decided to clean the Almaarasan area – a very beautiful place near the Almaty where people go to picnics. We collected rubbish and spent a really great time together!
We hope Action Day in IH Astana and Almaty will become a tradition!
