International House Action Day

The International House Action Day is an annual celebration of the charitable efforts made by all the schools in the International House network across the globe. It is an opportunity for the schools to pledge their charitable donations for the year ahead, to launch new fundraising campaigns and to tell the network about what they have already achieved.

Contributions do not have to be financial, but can be a donation of time, resources or expertise to help those in need.

IHWO wear Christmas Jumpers for charity

IHWO wear Christmas Jumpers for charity

The IHWO office fully embraced the London craze for cheesy Christmas jumpers by taking part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 14th December 2012. Sporting a range of festive knits featuring 3D snowmen, penguins and traditional Nordic patterns in garish colours, the team matched them with some outrageous festive spectacles, earrings, fur hats and tinsel!

All 6 members of staff made a donation to the children’s charity Save the Children which helps protect and support children in 120 countries around the world.

As you can see from the photo above, our ridiculous attire did not impact on the usual feverish office activity and it was very much business as usual at IHWO!
